Zeitschrift für Theologie und Philosophie

Zeitschrift für Theologie und Philosophie (ZTP) is a Catholic academic journal promoting theological and philosophical research on a national and international level through scientific study in systematic theology and philosophy. To that end, ZTP publishes research articles and book reviews in English and German, all of which are original publications and of outstanding quality.

The research articles and book reviews concentrate on issues in systematic theology and/or systematic philosophy – special fields of interest are fundamental theology, dogmatic and moral theology, philosophy of religion, metaphysics and philosophical ethics. Manuscripts from other areas of theology and philosophy will also be accepted, provided they deal with the research topic from a systematic point of view and are relevant to contemporary discussions. In particular, ZTP is committed to fostering dialogue between theological and philosophical ideas. Therefore, contributions dealing with intersections between theology and philosophy are very welcome.

In order to promote academic discourse in and between systematic theology and philosophy, ZTP occasionally organizes book symposia and publishes issues on selected topics. In this way, the journal draws the attention of the research community to specific theological and philosophical topics and promotes in-depth discussion.

Zeitschrift für Theologie und Philosophie appears online and in print on a quarterly basis. It is not committed to any particular philosophical or theological current or school.

ZTP is a joint venture of the Jesuit faculties of theology and philosophy in Frankfurt, Innsbruck and Munich, and is published by the Central-European Jesuit Province. It stands in the tradition of the two renowned academic journal quarterlies, Theologie und Philosophie (ThPh) and Zeitschrift für katholische Theologie (ZKTh), which in 2021 will merge into the new format of an online journal accompanied by a print edition.

ATeM Archives of Text and Music Studies

ATeM is a peer-reviewed cultural studies journal dedicated to the interdisciplinary investigation of the multiple facets of text-and-music relations. These include both popular genres (from the classical chanson to rap, from the folk song to pop music, from the musical revue to film music) and genres belonging to the classical music tradition (madrigal, opera, operetta) as well as mixed genres like the musical or the zarzuela situated at the crossroads of high and popular culture. The temporal dimension encompasses all historic periods, with a particular focus on the 20th and 21st centuries. With regard to the cultural and linguistic backgrounds, the focus is on the countries and territories in which Romance languages are spoken.

ATeM is the official publication medium of the Archives of Text and Music Studies located at the University of Innsbruck since 1986. It continues the Bulletin des Archivs für Textmusikforschung (BAT), which was published in print from 1998 to 2015. Research articles to be published in ATeM undergo a peer-reviewing process.

ATeM appears once a year in November or December. All contributions to be taken into consideration in the current year have to respect the Publication Guidelines and must be submitted electronically by June 15. They can be written in German, French, Italian, Spanish or in English where appropriate. Musical examples and references can be integrated in online quotations.
